Enterprise Manager
A full-stack platform for managing companies, employees, and business records with role-based access.
Hi there, my name is
Full-stack software engineer with 6+ years shipping production-grade applications across the stack, from React & React Native front ends to Django & Ruby on Rails back ends and Docker & Kubernetes deployments.
I’m a software engineer with over 8 years of experience building scalable web applications and digital products, currently based in Los Angeles.
My passion for programming began at the age of 14, when I taught myself PHP, MySQL, CSS, and JavaScript. Since then, I’ve continued to expand my expertise, building modern web applications with frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and frontend technologies like React.
I enjoy creating tools and systems that streamline development workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance user experiences. Whether working on backend architecture, frontend interfaces, or full-stack solutions, I’m driven by a passion for building software that is both scalable and impactful.
Outside of software development, I enjoy fitness, playing piano and guitar, video games, and exploring emerging technologies. I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and stay at the forefront of the ever-evolving tech landscape.
I chose this program because of my passion for web development and user-focused design. At Flatiron School, I learned the fundamentals of backend development step by step, progressing from procedural Ruby to object-oriented programming, then building applications with Sinatra and eventually developing full-featured APIs using Ruby on Rails.
The experience was especially valuable because, although I already had experience with languages such as PHP, I had never built a complete API from scratch. The curriculum exposed me to practical software engineering concepts and modern development practices that complemented, and in some cases exceeded, what I had previously learned in college.
I also expanded my frontend skills by learning React. Thanks to my JavaScript background, I quickly became proficient with the framework and applied it to real world projects. A foundation I continue to build on with React Native for cross-platform mobile development.
Gaining admission to the program was challenging and required three attempts, but the effort was well worth it. Once accepted, I had an incredibly rewarding academic experience.
During my studies, I learned both procedural and object-oriented programming using C++ and Java, while building a strong foundation in data structures, discrete mathematics, and computer engineering concepts. I gained hands-on experience with hardware programming and designing digital circuits with breadboards and transistors to create logic gates, and working with Verilog for hardware design.
Prior to the program, my experience was primarily web development with little exposure to these languages and concepts. I quickly developed a passion for them, and the deeper understanding of computer science fundamentals made me a stronger, more well-rounded engineer.
My development journey has exposed me to a diverse set of languages, frameworks, and technologies. As someone passionate about software engineering, I'm always eager to learn new tools, embrace new challenges, and continue evolving as a developer.
I also thrive in collaborative environments, contributing to a team's success while learning from the experience and expertise of others.
A selection of things I've designed and built, from full-stack applications to reusable libraries and developer tools.
